I'm walking All Night Long! But I really need your help with reaching my goal.

I'm joining a celebration of courage to raise funds for sick kids and their families. And I really do need your support!

Each day can feel like a marathon for sick kids and their families. Which is why I'm walking 42km All Night Long this October. Yes, you read that right... walking that distance overnight!

This is how you can help. Please donate what you can. Every dollar you give will support sick kids in Queensland and give me the inspiration and energy I need to walk All Night Long.

Yep, this is going to be a challenge alright, especially at my age. No doubt I'm going to be exhausted and tired at the end the next morning. But I know with your support, it will be so worth it, and it's a fraction of what families with sick kids go through. Please donate now (donate before 30 June to claim it on your tax return for this year). 💛

I am also adding some photos I have taken on my training walks below. Enjoy!

My first three weeks of training

Friday 11th Jul
Hello all! I signed up and started doing training walks for this amazing event about three weeks ago. I usually walk around the parklands of Narangba on days I am home, and around Southbank, botanical gardens, or Roma St parkland on days I work in the city. I am managing a daily average of just over 10,000 steps per day. Over the next few weeks I will try to gradually increase that, and do maybe one or two long walks (let's say 20km each) each month. At my age I can't overdo it, but I want to prove to myself and others that I can walk 42km in around 10-12 hours. Wish me luck, or come do training walks with me if you live in Narangba area, or do lunch time / after work walks in the city!
