Registrations - kick off the good vibes!
Help welcome participants, check them in, and hand out their event packs. Great for people who appreciate a good checklist and a warm welcome!
Hype Squad
Start and finish line - bring the energy!
You'll lead the cheers, pump the crowd up, and celebrate every hero crossing the finish line. Perfect for loud voices, big smiles, and even bigger hearts.
Pit Stop Crew
Check in points - fuel the fun!
Keep our walkers going strong by handing out snacks, drinks, and encouragement at designated pit stops where there will be entertainment and activations.
Safety Sams
Guide the way - keep walkers on track!
Be the eyes and ears by staffing key route locations, helping participants stay on course and cheering them on along the way.
Sunrise Sizzle Crew
BBQ breakfast - feed the finishers!
Prepare and serve up a BBQ breakfast at the finish line, ensuring finishers are welcomed with a tasty meal and a warm smile as they celebrate their achievement.

Frequently asked questions
How long will my shift be?
You can expect to volunteer for around 4–6 hours, depending on your role.
Where are the volunteer locations?
Pit Stop Crew will be based at one of the following locations:
- Pitstop 1 and 4: Bunya Walk, City Botanic Gardens
- Pitstop 2: Main Lawn, Howard Smith Wharves, along New Farm Park Riverwalk
- Pitstop 3: Wilson Outlook Reserve, corner of Bowen Tce and Moray St, Newfarm
- Pitstop 5: River Quay Green, South Bank along Clem Jones Promenade
Saftey Sams willbe stationed at key points along the course throughout Brisbane City. Details of your assigned location will be provided after you sign up.

Can I choose more than one role to volunteer for?
When signing up, you can let us know all the roles you're interested in, feel free to select as many as you like. Closer to the event, rostering will open and you’ll be able to choose your preferred role and shift times or you’ll be assigned to just one role per shift, based on your preferences and availability.
Do I get to choose my shirt size?
Yes, you will be able to select your shirt size when signing up. Shirt sizes available below:

I can no longer volunteer, how do I cancel?
Volunteers are what make this event possible, and we rely on all 100 of you to be there on the night. If you’re no longer able to help, please let the Volunteering Team know as soon as possible via volunteer@allnightlong.org.au so we can plan accordingly.
What if the role I signed up for is not available?
We recommend selecting all the roles you're open to. This gives you the best chance of being placed and ensures we can match you where you're most needed.
Can I choose my shift time?
Yes! Once you’ve signed up to volunteer and closer to the event, you’ll be able to select from the available shift times.
Will there be parking or public transport available?
Yes! The event is easily accessible by both public transport and car.
Public transport is recommended, with multiple bus, train and CityCat services stopping close to the City Botanic Gardens, South Bank and Howard Smith Wharves. We encourage volunteers to plan their journey in advance using the Translink Journey Planner.
Parking is available at a number of nearby public car parks throughout the Brisbane CBD, South Bank and Howard Smith Wharves. Please note that parking fees may apply and availability cannot be guaranteed.
