I'm walking All Night Long! But I need your help

I'm joining a celebration of courage to raise funds for sick kids and their families. I really need your support!  Each day can feel like a marathon for sick kids and their families. Which is why I'm walking 42km All Night Long this October.

In 2016 my first son Mason was born with an obstruction in his bowel and spend 33 days in NICU at GCUH. Although this was by far the scariest moment my partner and I have had to experience. Going through the unknown of just giving birth and then sending our precious son in for surgery not knowing of the outcome was such a daunting moment in our lives. Without having the Ronald McDonald house on site we would not have been able to be as close to our son as we were. Without the comforting touch of the volunteers who supported us as we cried waiting will forever touch and hold a special place in my heart.

We met with other families who were going through the same and some who were more worse off and to have somewhere we could all be of support to one an one is truly something so special.

I will never forget our time in the Ronald McDonald house and am forever grateful to the hospital for saving my sons life only hours old into this world but to the Ronald McDonald house charity for providing and giving a space to families to find comfort even if it was just for a shower or a quick bite to eat, somewhere to breathe and take a moment as hospitals can be very overwhelming.
