I'm walking All Night Long! But I need your help

I'm joining a celebration of courage to raise funds for sick kids and their families. I really need your support!

Each day can feel like a marathon for sick kids and their families. Which is why I'm walking 21kms All Night Long this October.

This is where you can help. Will you please donate what you can? Every dollar you give will support sick kids across Queensland through the incredible work of the Children’s Hospital Foundation and Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland, while giving me the inspiration and energy I need to keep going all night long.

Yep, this is going to be a challenge, and I know with your help, we can provide a small amount of additional support for the families supporting their sick children. Please donate now. 💛

My Updates

Longest walk yet - 10 Oct (happy Mental Health Day)

Saturday 10th Oct
An early start to this Saturday morning as planned completing a 21km walk along the river. However the walk didn’t end up that way. A very hot start to the walk commencing at Virginia station making my way to the river at Ascot Racecourse (was aiming for Doomben Racecourse by Brekkie Creek so clearly took a wrong turn or four along the way but on I pushed).
Stopped for a quick good morning to Gloria’s & Gregory along the Riverwalk into the city & through the City Botanical Gardens, across Victoria Bridge & into Southbank (the 21km point was just before Victoria Bridge). Whilst walking along Grey St I was enjoying the reprieve from the sun enjoying the vast amount of shade and onto Kangaroo Point with the new plan to head to Fortitude Valley station & end there.
I knew I wanted to cross the Story Bridge on the East footpath. Unknown to me there was a short route I could have taken to get onto the bridge but I ended up taking the longer scenic route through the Docklands around to where the Bridge starts. Once I crossed the bridge my stubbornness took hold & I didn’t want to tap out until at least Bowen Hills station. So back onto the river pathway I went and continued my journey back to Bowen Hills were the walk did come to an end (& the humidity was knocking my about quite a bit, so definitely time to call it a day. So my planned 21km walk turned into a 41.21km’s. Though not the full 42km I’m glad I didn’t reach it as when I do complete the full 42km course on 24 Oct it will be a big achievement 🥰

End of day refresh 08 Oct 2026

Friday 9th Oct
After a day in the office instead of walking to Roma Street station I decided to jump on the train at Bowen Hills via the more scenic route along the river. So after packing everything up off I headed taking in the views through the City Botanic Gardens, along the Brisbane Riverwalk, under the Story Bridge, through Merthyr, past the Brisbane Powerhouse, before heading into New Farm Park, along Cutters Landing and checking out the blinged-up Gloria & Gerald marking the old Wool Store site & finally into Tenerife & onto Bowen Hills to catch my train home. So after 2hrs & 11.32km done & dusted it was nice to put the laptop bag down (would be better if didn’t carry the work equipment on a walk - but when needs must just to enjoy a lovely evening walk a girls gotta do what a girls got to do. Right)? 😁
