I'm walking All Night Long! But I need your help

I'm joining a celebration of courage to raise funds for sick kids and their families. I really need your support!

Each day can feel like a marathon for sick kids and their families. Which is why I'm walking 42km All Night Long this October.

This is where you can help. Will you please donate what you can? Every dollar you give will support sick kids in Queensland and give me the inspiration and energy I need to walk All Night Long.

Yep, this is going to be a challenge, and I'm going to be exhausted and tired at the end. But I know with your help, it will be so worth it, and it's a fraction of what families with sick kids go through. Please donate now. 💛

Kalieh's Journey

Tuesday 7th Oct
It started out like any normal day for Kalieh on Tues 19th November. She was making breakfast before school, when suddenly without any warning she collapsed on the floor, hitting her head on the tiles as she landed.
Kalieh was unresponsive, an ambulance was called and she was rushed to hospital and placed into a medically induced coma.
Kalieh had multiple brain bleeds, a skull fracture and swelling of the brain. She remained in a coma for the next two weeks in intensive care at the Queensland Chilren’s Hospital.
The hospital staff were baffled as there were no symptoms or reason for the fall, Kalieh was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury, equivalent to what would be expected from a high speed vehicle accident.
Her mother Kelly ( a former employee of Foote’s Redbank Plains) was able to stay ay Ronald McDonald House the entire time that Kalieh was in ICU.
Kalieh had seven surgeries over the 3 month period that she was in hospital. During this time, Kalieh missed her Year 10 formal, Christmas, New Year, and her sweet 16th birthday.

It was going to be a long recovery for Kalieh as she had to learn to do everything all over again
(walking, talking etc).
The final surgery was on 22nd January when she had her titanium plate installed where her skull had been removed. This was necessary to allow some room for her brain swelling.
Kalieh was one very determined young lady and was finally discharged from hospital on 31st January 2025. She still had to return to the hospital for weekly visits.
Kalieh finally returned to school in March
