Mighty Titus

Walking all night long for little legends like Titus — help us make every step count! 💛

Our tiny but mighty Titus was born with complications we were completely blindsided by. We expected a 2-day stay; instead, the hospital became his home for the first 2 months of his life.

Just hours old, Titus was transferred to the city for life-saving treatment. As I (mum) recovered at the local hospital and couldn’t follow immediately, dad & the incredible ICU nurses & volunteers cared for him until we could be reunited.

When he moved to the wards, we could finally stay together & while family cared for our older children at home, the Children’s Hospital Foundation (CHF) Cuddle Carers gave me precious moments to shower, grab a coffee or simply breathe the air outside the hospital walls!

Now 4 months old, we’re still regulars at the QLD Children’s Hospital, where the CHF volunteers continue to make our appointments easier with the best childminding services for our older kids, so we can focus our attention on Titus & his recovery.

When your world is flipped on its head overnight, these acts of kindness mean everything! It takes a village & CHF are a part of ours.
