He fought for two months, I’ll walk for one night! 💛

Our tiny but mighty Titus was born with complications we were completely blindsided by. We expected a 2-day stay; instead, the hospital became his home for the first 2 months of his life.

Just hours old, Titus was transferred to the city for life-saving treatment. As I (mum) recovered at the local hospital and couldn’t follow immediately, dad & the incredible ICU nurses & volunteers cared for him until we could be reunited.

When he moved to the wards, we could finally stay together & while family cared for our older children at home, the Children’s Hospital Foundation Cuddle Carers gave me precious moments to shower, grab a coffee or simply breathe the air outside the hospital walls!

Now 4 months old, we’re still regulars at QCH, where the CHF volunteers continue to make our appointments easier so we can focus our attention on Titus & his recovery.

When your world is flipped on its head overnight, these acts of kindness mean everything! It takes a village & CHF are a part of ours.
