I'm joining a celebration of courage to raise funds for sick kids and their families. I really need your support! Each day can feel like a marathon for sick kids and their families. Resilience
Thursday 17th SepI keep coming back to one word: resilience.
Every family staying at Ronald McDonald House is going through something most of us can't imagine, sitting beside a hospital bed, adjusting their whole life around their child's treatment, and somehow still finding the strength to get up and do it all again the next day. That kind of resilience is humbling.
Walking all night is my small way of matching a bit of that effort. It's uncomfortable, my legs will hate me by 3am, and there'll be a point in the middle of the night where I want to stop. But that's exactly the point.
If I can push through a few hours of tired legs, it's nothing compared to what these families push through every single day. It's less about the walk itself and more about standing alongside them, even in a small way.
