I'm walking All Night Long! But I need your help

On 13 June 2025, our world stopped. Our daughter Lucy suffered a stroke — a bleed on her brain caused by a ruptured AVM, a tangle of blood vessels none of us knew was there. Within hours, she was fighting for her life.

Lucy spent 17 days on life support, and 80 days in all at the Queensland Children's Hospital. We lived those days one breath at a time — and through every single one, we were carried by people we will never be able to thank enough. The PICU team. The doctors. The nurses who learned our girl's name and never gave up on her. The rehab team who helped her fight her way back. They didn't just treat Lucy; they held our whole family together.

This October, I am walking All Night Long: 42km across Brisbane, dusk to dawn, no sleep. It's one long, hard night. But it's nothing next to what families at the Queensland Children's Hospital face every single day, and every night.

I am walking to give back to the two charities that stand beside those families. The Children's Hospital Foundation funds the research, equipment and care that helped save Lucy. Ronald McDonald House SEQ keeps families together — a bed, a meal, somewhere to fall apart and put themselves back together — just steps from their child's hospital bed.

Here's what your support does:
$80 — two hours of tutoring for a child missing school
$160 — a family's night at Ronald McDonald House
$220 — a music therapy session for a child in hospital

My goal is $10,000, and every dollar goes straight to these kids and their families. If Lucy's story means something to you, please walk this with me — donate, or share this page with someone who might.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
