I'm joining a celebration of courage to raise funds for sick kids and their families. I really need your support! Each day can feel like a marathon for sick kids and their families. Scarlett's Story
Wednesday 24th Jun
In June 2025, our daughter Scarlett was born with a series of congenital birth anomalies and was transported to Brisbane for diagnosis and life-saving treatment. During the first 6 weeks of her life, Scarlett spent most of her time in the Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Nursery at Mater Mothers Hospital and underwent multiple surgeries performed by specialists at the Queensland Children’s Hospital. Thanks to the wonderful service provided by Ronald McDonald House SEQ, we were able to stay close to the hospital and by Scarlett’s side every step of the way. Today, Scarlett is a thriving 1 year old who fortunately only requires a visit to the QCH Cardiology clinic every 6 months for an echocardiogram.
I'm participating in the 42km All Night Long charity walk in October to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House and Children’s Hospital Foundation, to celebrate the courage and resilience of sick kids and to help support families like mine who rely on these services to stay close to their babies when it matters most.
