I'm walking All Night Long! But I need your help
Thirty years ago, doctors told my family that my brother Alex's life expectancy was around 10 years old. Alex was born with lissencephaly, a rare brain condition that left his brain smooth instead of the normal folded structure, and it means he has never been able to walk, talk or eat by mouth. Last week, against every odd, Alex turned 30. Growing up in the country town of Griffith, NSW, our family relied on Ronald McDonald House more times than we can count — a home away from home during Alex’s countless hospital stays, giving us a bed, a kitchen, and a community when we needed it most. This All Night Long walk is our way of giving back to the charity that gave so much to us. Every step I take and every dollar raised helps another family like mine have somewhere safe to stay while their child fights for their life. Please join me on the walk or donate what you can — for Alex, and for every family walking a similar road.
