I'm doing the thing and walking All Night Long!
This walk is more than a challenge for me, it’s personal. ❤️
Since I was old enough to work, I’ve spent more time than I can count in and out of the Children’s Hospital and Ronald McDonald House, supporting my cousins, nieces and nephews through sickness.
Some of them still live with ongoing health challenges and continue to be in and out of hospital to this day.
I’ve spent many nights beside hospital beds, watching the children I love go through things no child should have to face. I’ve seen the exhaustion, fear and uncertainty families carry and I know just how much it means to feel supported during those moments.
Throughout it all, places like the Children’s Hospital and Ronald McDonald House have made us feel cared for, supported and less alone. That is something I will always hold close to my heart.
So this October, I’m joining a celebration of courage and walking 42km all night long to support sick kids and their families across Queensland.
Yep, this will challenge me but I’m doing it anyway.
Because the challenge I’ll face for one night is nothing compared to what these children and their families face every day. 🧡
