My Updates

I am walking All night Long - but I can't do it without you.

Thursday 16th Jul
Last September, my beautiful friend Sarah Kubenk went through every parent’s absolute worst nightmare. Her active 16-year-old son, Jed, was hospitalised with what they thought was a severe migraine, only to discover a large brain tumour. He declined rapidly, was placed on life support, and had to be airlifted to Brisbane for emergency, life-saving brain surgery.
By the absolute grace of God and the hands of incredible medical teams, Jed survived two major surgeries, learned to walk again, and his tumour was benign! Today, he is back surfing, playing basketball, and living life to the absolute fullest.
During those dark 12 days, Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland became a sanctuary for Sarah and her family. They provided a bed and a shower just one minute away from Jed's ICU bed, cooked meals, and gave them a safe space to cry, rest, and stay together.
Now, Sarah wants to give back to the place that held her family together, and I am proudly joining her team to walk right by her side 👟✨.
This October, we are taking on the "All Night Long" 42km walking marathon overnight in Brisbane to raise vital funds for Ronald McDonald House SEQ.
