As we count down to All Night Long — our 42km overnight walk through Brisbane on Saturday 24 October, raising funds for the Children's Hospital Foundation and Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland — Team Pulse & Pace has welcomed two incredibly generous sponsors on board. Ronald McDonald House looked after my mother and sister when my niece was born with a congenital heart issue. They were from Darwin, Careflighted to Melbourne and lived there for 14 weeks. They would never have been able to afford the time they got with my niece in NICU. Our family is forever grateful to them, and I will never pass the opportunity to round up in my maccas order, or donate to such a cause.

My bother spent 6 weeks in the icu at the PA, then a year in rehabilitation learning how to walk and talk again after a head injury. We have never met but your story touched us. We cannot even imagine what you and your wife went through that night and the weeks/months that followed. This is to not take away from what your daughter must have felt and gone through at all... but as parents its a nightmare we pray we never experience. We couldn't imagine trying to stay positive, holding hope and clinging to every possible thing possible while physically watching a machine breathe for your child.
